Latvian Saeima significantly alters conditions in Immigration Law for residency permits

At the second review of the final reading of amendments to the Immigration Law, The Saeima of Latvia changed the conditions of receiving temporary residence permits, stipulating that such permits can be issued for up five years to persons with investments of no less than LVL 25,000 in the fixed capital a Latvian company, and if the said company has paid no less tthan LVL 20,000 into state and municipal buggets.

  •  Five -year temporary permits will also available to persons who buy property  in Riga or in Riga district with a total transaction value of no less than LVL 100,000, or a proparty  outside Riga where the total  value of  the transaction is no less than LVL 50,000.
